About the Student Impact Fund

The Student Impact Fund is a national grant program created by Alumo to support student-led initiatives on Alumo-partnered campuses across Canada.

The annual $250,000 fund is dedicated entirely to bringing your meaningful campus ideas to life.

Who can apply?

Any student at a partner school may apply with campus approval.

Project Eligibility

Projects must be
  • Led by students and for the benefit of students and/or campus community
  • Non-partisan and not for commercial use
  • Inclusive and aligned with values of equity, sustainability, and well-being

  • Projects run by the student union itself (operations, campaigns, etc.)
  • Commercial or for-profit ventures
  • Projects without clear benefit to students on campus (e.g., projects for personal gain or travel)
  • Projects that promote hate, discrimination, or conflict with association and/or institution policies

What isn't covered?

The Fund cannot be used for
  • Alcohol or drugs
  • Food costs exceeding 30% of the funding (food can be covered up to 30%)
  • Compensation or honoraria for project organizers
